I love this question of, “what is a poet?” I wholeheartedly agree with you. We are all poets, our poems just show up in different forms! So excited to continue to find the poems with you through Flowering Bodies and beyond! 🤍🌸💐🌷

Fully agree! Your line "being a poet is more about process than the finished poem itself" really speaks to me. While I have infinite respect for the traditional definition of being a poet, I do also embrace a wider perspective. To be truly aware/mindful of the world around oneself, and to be able to channel that awareness through an act of creation in a way that others might see the world through fresh eyes, that is poetry. It doesn't matter what the medium is. Let's all be the poets that we were born to be! ☺️

Full body tingles when I read "Let's all be the poets that we were born to be"! So good to be walking this path with you- the path of thinking outside the box, of seeking the poem in oddball places, then finding ourselves within said poem.

Fine writer and reader of Substack—we are starting a movement to get a poetry section added to the platform. Can I ask, are you with us?
